Zoological Museum of Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman, Iran (ZMSBUK)
In order to introduce the animal biodiversity of Iran, especially the animal fauna of southeastern Iran and help better training of animal sciences, Zoological Museum of Department of Biology - Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman founded in 1987, by Dr. Mohammad Reza Khajeh, a former faculty member of this department. The museum was established with the support of colleagues and biology students and is home to different species of invertebrates and vertebrates such as: sponges, corals, worms, arthropods, echinoderms, mollusks, various types of sharks and fishes, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals. It also includes a workshop in which preparation and taxidermy of animals are performed. The museum is currently working on exhibiting mode. At the moment small collections, including different specimens of insects, fishes and rodents are on display.
